M-Gas Showcases Clean Cooking Impact at Clean Cooking Week 2025 in Kilifi

Last week, M-Gas was honoured to attend and participate in Clean Cooking Week 2025 in Kilifi, under the KOSAP project, joining partners and stakeholders in advancing Kenya’s transition to clean, safe, and affordable cooking solutions.

Through this partnership, we have already reached over 2,500 households in the Coast Region, helping them transition from dirty cooking fuels to affordable, clean LPG. With our innovative smart meter technology, families can conveniently purchase gas tokens via M-Pesa, allowing them to pay-as-they-cook and enjoy safe, modern energy without the barrier of high upfront costs.

Clean cooking is about more than just technology; it’s about dignity, health, and opportunity. Protecting families from harmful emissions, providing safe havens for children to study, and freeing women and youth with time and resources to pursue education and economic growth.

We were honoured to showcase our work to the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya, @RachelRuto, Cabinet Secretary for Energy Hon. Opiyo Wandayi, and the Governor of Kilifi County H.E Gideon Mung’aro, OGW, who visited our exhibition stand.

A special thank you to our Managing Director, Nick Quintong, for being present during this important event, and to the amazing M-Gas team:
Chris Nyaga – Operations Director
wainaina James & Trizah Chege – Senior Business Development Officers
Behind the scenes: Sandra K. – Marketing & Communication Manager, and Cynthia Muriuki – Executive Assistant, making it all a success.

Shout-out to Clean Cooking Association of Kenya (CCAK) for organizing such a vibrant platform and to KOSAP for the partnership that continues to make clean cooking a reality for more Kenyan households.
